How long will my spray tan last?
In general, your spray tan should last around a week. Good skin preparation and aftercare being followed will result in greater longevity.

Can you get a natural tan with a spray tan on?
Yes, you can tan through a spray tan. Spray tans don’t provide any protection from the suns UV rays, so your skin is just as vulnerable to sunburn as it would be without a tan.

What do I wear whilst having the tan applied?
Some people go naked – others leave small knickers on. You can wear as much or as little as you like. I do have disposable thongs which you can also wear.

Can I get a spray tan if I’m pregnant?
There’s no reason why you have to avoid getting a spray tan when you are pregnant but must be after the first trimester. My salon is well ventilated with excellent industrial air filtration.

Can I exercise after my spray tan?
You will need to wait till you’ve showered the guide colour off before exercising.

How many days before an event should I have my spray tan?
Bridal spray tans are ideally done two days before. For a night out, either two days before or the night before. Spray tans before holiday – are best done the day before travel.

What sun protection should I use on holiday after my spray tan?
Avoid using oil-based sun cream – along with products applied with an aerosol. Ideally a sun cream or lotion is best. I opt for an aloe vera based sun cream as these keep the skin hydrated.

Can I go swimming with my spray tan on?
Swimming for long periods of time can cause your spray tan to fade quicker. This is due to the dehydrating affects of the chlorine on the skin. Ideally go for quick dips and moisturise your skin well afterwards.

How does a spray tan work?
Spray tans contain a chemical called dihydroxyacetone or DHA for short. This chemical reacts with the outermost layer of your skin and causes the skin cells to darken.
